Getting Involved/Fund Raising

The Jallow Foundation, The Gambia, A Charity Set Up To Relieve Poverty, Help, Provide, Train, Educate, Provide Employment, Empower and Provide Essential Facilities and Equipment To Those In Need

By raising funds for us you will be helping many, many people not only get out of a circle of poverty, but improve their quality of life tremendously.

You can fund-raise with family,  friends and/or work mates or, if you prefer, on your own. Whatever way you choose to fund-raise for us, you, family, friends and work mates can have a great deal of fun and know that at the same time, you are really making a difference to people who desperately need your help.

Some ideas are below and there are some resources on our website. Anything else you need please get in touch.

THANK YOU on behalf of the people you will be helping.

14. How About A 'Do Without Week' Or Day Or Month? Do you have a paper and/or magazine every day? Or perhaps sweets/biscuits, anything really that you buy regularly that you could do without even for a day. Instead donate the money you would have spent.

15. One less Easter egg, why not get your children to agree to donate the cost of one Easter egg or even you big kids! Imagine what the cost of just one Easter egg can buy and imagine if every-one did it what a HUGE amount could be raised and how much could be done with that money to improve the lives of so many people. Never mind the luxury of an Easter egg what about trying to find the money to feed the family!

16. One less Christmas present, kids young and old why not donate the cost of one Christmas present? OR, do without some mince pies and donate the cost instead. OR, better still do without mince pies or some other Christmas food you normally buy and instead buy a bag of rice for a hungry family. Christmas is the time of giving!

17. One Less Birthday Present, Donate The Cost Instead.

18. Buy A Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary Present From Our On-line Shop

19. Wear Wigs To Work/School Day. (Get Permission First!)

20. Wash Cars.

21. Get Your Place Of Work To Match What You Raise.

The easiest way to collect sponsorship money is by setting up a page on the 'Just Giving' website. If you go to our links page you will be able to set up your event page and the monies will come direct to us. It is great and easy way of giving people information.

Once your event is finished it would help us if you paid money into just one bank account and then send us one cheque for the total amount that has been raised. PLEASE, PLEASE do try and get people to complete gift aid forms as this makes a huge difference to the amount that can be raised. Also make sure that you send us all the sponsorship forms.
